ATTENTION ALL THOSE BORN, RAISED, OR LIVING in POCAHONTAS, VA

If you would like to see Pocahontas restored, here's your chance to help. Pocahontas is trying to get a grant to help restore the town, and is competing with another town for the grant. Large numbers of people are greatly needed!!

A meeting is tentatively scheduled for Feb. 13, 6:30pm to 9:30pm, in Pocahontas at the High School.

After the meeting some have shown interest in going out to dinner and getting together with old classmates. Write and let us know if you would be interested in attending this meeting.

So if you love the town and would like to see her come to life again, it is imperative that you attend this meeting. We all need to band together to show some numbers and some of our Indian Pride.

This website is dedicated to keeping the graduates, classmates, staff, and friends of Pocahontas High School up to date with announcements from the Pocahontas High School Grand Reunion Committee, and about the events and happenings in and around Pocahontas Virginia, and on Peel Chestnut Mountain.

The Pocahontas High School Grand Reunion Committee first started with a Homecoming Celebration in 1984. They held another Homecoming in 1994. Since then, the name of the Celebration has changed to the Grand Reunions and they have taken place every three years since 2002. Everyone who attended Pocahontas High School from the years of 1930 to 1966 were invited to attend. Former staff and friends of Pocahontas High School were invited as well.

Hundreds of folks from all over the United States return to Pocahontas Virginia every three years for the three days of the Pocahontas High School Grand Reunions. Events of the past Grand Reunions have included a Friday Golf Tournament, a Friday evening Social, a Saturday night Dinner and Dance, and a Sunday afternoon picnic.

The Pocahontas High School Grand Reunion 2011 is now in the planning stages and has been extended to include the Classes of 1930 to 1970.
